Our Researches

We are aiming to explore fundamental electrical properties in topological quantum matters. One of our focuses is topological superconductors based on hybrid system between topological insulators and conventional superconductors, which is at the heart of the ground breaking experiments like Majorana bound states and topological quantum bits (qubits). We are successfully growing emerging topological materials on the conventional superconductors using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) method. Using scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/STS), we are exploring these exciting quantum worlds in an atomic scale.
